![]() ![]() Tracking USPS packages from Canada to the United States involves a seamless collaboration between the United States Postal Service or USPS (the postal service of the United States Federal Government) and your chosen shipping provider. Let's dive in! What is the tracking process for USPS packages? Can't deliver by UPS or Fed Ex, we'd go out of business trying to meet their shipping fees! I don't know what the answer is, but it sure makes trying to have an online shopping service a big struggle.Want to understand how USPS tracking in Canada works? Do you feel anxious when you send the customer's orders because they might be delayed, damaged, lost, or arrive in the wrong post office boxes? If you answer yes, this blog post might pique your interest. So far nothing has gone wrong with our packages yet but it is still early in the game, it has only been about 3 weeks. Our solution at this point has been to drive 15 minutes or more out of our way to drop off at a different USPS facility. There are so many complaints about this local post office on the NextDoor Neighborhood forum board it is ridiculous. We have gone to the post office and talked to the Post Master General about it. And they have lost mail and even sent me back a package that was sent out by me and correctly addressed to someone else. I always get sales magazines dated from the month before. We've had troubles for years getting mail at home in a timely manner from our local post office. So then I decided to try "Request a Pick Up" thru Etsy hoping that would have more success. That was over 4 weeks ago, no one has called me or contacted me since. The next day I received a confirmation by email that my packages has successfully been picket up!!! I called the customer service complaint department and spoke with someone who filed a complaint. I decided maybe the solution was to try "Request a Pick Up" directly at the USPS online site and I completed a Scan Form to have ready for the postal carrier. When you try to call the post office no one answers and if you try to file a claim on a package that is insured but says "Pre-Transit" it becomes their word agains yours that the package was dropped off so good luck filing an insurance claim. I have to apologize and explain that it was dropped off a week ago or more. When this happens, in about a week or so the customer will contact me asking when the package will be dropped off at the post office. Many times these packages I have dropped off are listed as "Pre-Transit" - two of them are still listed as Pre-Transit from months ago and of course I had to replace them to the customer at my expense. I typically have to drop off packages when the post office is closed because I can't stop what I am doing during the day at my business to go stand in line at the post office for 45 minutes to an hour or more (had to do that the other day to get certified papers on an important document mailing). I have had so many problems with the USPS that I've had to start insuring any packages I don't want to have to replace at my cost when the shipment doesn't get to the customer. I can't send two times every one of my customers too. It's not my fault and neither my customer. Employees are so nervous and anxious too. Post Office is struggling with the long line and every time when I go there it's really crowded. My customer keeps sending a message and asking for their shipping. Is someone else having the same problem with USPS? I feel so anxious about my shipment. ![]() The shipment I did yesterday in the morning still shows pre-transit. 2 another shipment I did 10 days ago and still shows pre-transit. It still shows pre-transit but today my customer gave me a review and I realized she received it. After 12 days, it was delivered to the customer. I had to ship the items again because I thought my package get lost. My customer contacted with me and asked about the delay. One of my shipment was showing pre-shipment after I shipped. I have been having some problems with my USPS first class shipment. ![]()
